Dwaine Pretorius scripted a fantastic innings in the final over of the innings to win the game for the Guyana Amazon Warriors in the second match of the CPL 2024 against Antigua and Barbuda Falcons. He took Mohammad Amir to the cleaners in the final over of the innings. The Pakistan fast bowler could not defend 16 in the last over as Guyana won the match by 3 wickets.

Pretorius smashed two boundaries in the second and third ball of the over. Then, he smashed another boundary on the fifth ball of the over. When 4 runs was needed off the final delivery to win, Pretorius smashed a six over deep extra cover to win the game for his franchise.

Amir, who is one of the most effective pacers in T20 cricket, failed to defend 16 runs off the final over. Pretorius displayed his hitting power and range as he took Amir to the cleaners to help his team earn first points this season.

What happened in the match between Guyana Amazon Warriors and Antigua and Barbuda Falcons?

Guyana Amazon Warriors won the toss and chose to bowl first. The Falcons scored 168 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in their 20 overs. Fakhar Zaman scored 40 runs off 30 balls, while Kofi amassed scored 34 off 24 balls. Later, Imad Wasim played a solid knock of 40 off 21 balls. For Guyana Amazon Warriors, Motie was the pick of the bowlers as he claimed three wickets for 25 runs.
