3 Indian batters in top 5 after latest ICC ODI rankings get announced

The latest ICC ODI rankings are out now. In the ODI rankings, Indian captain, Rohit Sharma, has moved to the second position due to his consistent performances in this format. Gill has dropped down to the 3rd position due to his recent low scores.

On the other hand, Virat Kohli occupies the 4th position in the rankings. These are the only three Indian batters who are within top 10 in the ODI rankings. Meanwhile, Pakistan’s limited overs captain, Babar Azam, is still ranked first in the ODI rankings.

Meanwhile, when we look at the bowlers in the ODI rankings, South Africa’s Keshav Maharaj occupies the first position with 716 rating points. Australia’s Josh Hazlewood occupies the second position with 688 rating points. Adam Zampa is at the third place with 688 points and India’s chinaman, Kuldeep Yadav occupies the fourth position with 665 rating points.

India are still at the top of ICC ODI rankings

Team India still occupies the number 1 spot in the ODI rankings with 118 ratings despite their 2-0 loss against Sri Lanka. Australia are placed at the second with 116 ratings. South Africa are third in the table with 112 ratings. Pakistan are fourth in the table with 106 ratings and New Zealand are fifth in the points table with 101 ratings.

Coming to the all-rounder’s ranking in ODIs, Mohammed Nabi occupies the first place, followed by Shakib Al Hasan, Sikandar Raza, Azad Vala and Rashid khan at second, third, fourth and fifth spots,

Ravindra Jadeja is the highest ranked Indian to feature in this list at 16th spot. He was not part of the ODI series against Sri Lanka. Hardik Pandya is placed at 26th and Washington Sundar comes at the 87th spot.

Meanwhile, India is not set to play any more ODI matches for the rest of 2024. They will play an ODI series against England just ahead of The ICC Champions trophy in 2025.
