In response to India B’s 321-run total, Shubman Gill and Mayank Agarwal came to open the innings for their team. The duo looked fluent for most part of their innings. They had added 57 runs inside 14 overs and looked on course to convert the start into a big one.

However, Navdeep Saini got the prized wicket of Gill on the final ball of the 14th over. In his very next over, Saini also sent Mayank Agarwal back to the hut.

Mayank Agarwal got a good start but could not convert into a big one as he nicked Saini down the leg-side only to be caught by Pant behind the stumps.

This caused India A’s team to stall an innings total of 134/2, with Parag and KL Rahul having added some resemblance to their innings at Stumps on day 2.
