[Watch] Dhruv Jurel takes a sensational catch to dismiss Musheer Khan

The Duleep Trophy is currently underway and Musheer Khan, after a scoring a ton in the first innings of the match between India A and India B, failed in his second innings of the game. The wicketkeeper Dhruv Jurel took a sensational catch to cut short his innings. Khan scored a 6-ball duck in the second innings.

Akash Deep bowled a back of a length delivery which was a harmless delivery going through the right side of his front pad. However, Musheer did not find the sweet spot of the bat while trying to glance the delivery off his pads. Jurel dived to his left and caught the ball with one hand.

Earlier, Musheer had scored a sensational century in the first innings. He smashed 181 runs off 373 balls. His innings included 16 boundaries and 5 sixes. Khan stood like a rock and guided India A to a score of 321 runs. India A bowlers bowled brilliantly and restricted India B to 231 runs in their first innings.

Musheer Khan failed to hit the straps in the second innings

Musheer Khan’s early departure found the team reeling at 33/3. Nevertheless, he had made a big impact with his sensational knock in the first innings. Given the performances he has given in big games in the recent past, the selectors would be keeping an eye on him.

Just before the game, Musheer Khan said that he started playing leather ball cricket when he was four or five years old. He recalled his father playing with vigour and passion. He along with his brother Sarfaraz Khan, wanted to play like their father.

Khan said: “I started playing leather-ball cricket when I was four or five. When our father played, he did so with a lot of vigour and passion. We try to play just like him”.

Meanwhile, his brother Sarfaraz Khan is also playing for India B and registered scores of 9 and 46.
