Ishan Kishan, the young Indian wicketkeeper-batter, has scored a sensational century in the match between India B and India C at the Rural Development Trust Stadium, Anantpur in Duleep Trophy. He amassed a score of 111 runs off 126 balls. He has smashed three sixes and 14 boundaries during the innings.
Kishan finally got out to a delivery of Mukesh Kumar in the 66th over. Ishan has made a sensational comeback and is scoring runs for fun. He also smashed a century in the recent Buchi Babu tournament.
Kishan was picked for the Test tour of South Africa in December of last year in 2023. However, he sidelined himself from the tour citing mental fatigue. After that he has not been picked up in the Indian squad. He was dropped from the central contract by BCCI earlier this year as he skipped the domestic season and started preparing for the IPL.
The 189-run partnership between Ishan Kishan and Baba Indrajith placed India C on the dominant position at the end of Day 1. At the time of writing, India C have scored 300 runs for the loss of 3 wickets.

Kishan has just played 2 Test matches for India and has scored 78 runs. He has a half-century to his name in the two Test matches. Kishan has 24 ODI innings under his name, scored 933 runs at an average of 42.4 and strike rate of 102.2.
He has smashed one hundred, one double-century and 7 half-centuries. On the other hand, he has played 32 innings in T20I, scored 796 runs at a strike rate of 124.4 with 6 half centuries.
Kishan was not picked up in the squad for the first Test between India and Bangladesh starting from September 19 in Chennai.
