England captain, Phil Salt was elated after the win. He praised Liam Livingstone and stated that all of the players know the quality that Livingstone possesses.
“Was an incredible performance. We knew what Liam is capable of. I knew we had to play well. Those partnerships in the middle were vital. We know how good they are at the top. We need to find a few answers. Bethell is a real talent. Not too many can take down Zampa. Definitely Liam has played a lot of cricket. He has more than 100 runs and 5 wickets in this series already. I am enjoying it. Best place to see the game from is behind the wickets. Keeping the series alive is a good incentive for us to go into the final game,” Salt said.
With that win, the series is now levelled at 1-1 with one more game to play. The third and final T20I is scheduled to take place on Sunday at Emirates Old Trafford ground in Manchester.
