Indian cricket Team is set to face off against Bangladesh in the first Test match of their home season. They will square off in Chennai starting on September 19 in the first of the two matches of the series.
Rohit Sharma’s side are ready to face Bangladesh, who have, recently, beat Pakistan away from home comprehensively by a margin of 2-0. Meanwhile, there is a big curiosity on the type of pitch that will be used in the first Test. The big question is whether it will be a red soil surface or a black soil surface.
Also, it is important to mention that this will be the first Test match under India’s new head coach, Gautam Gambhir. Moreover, it will also be the first match under India’s new bowling coach, Morne Morkel.
As per reports, India batters with the likes of Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal have used two different nets in the practice session. The pace bowlers bowled on the red soil pitch, while the spinners bowled on the black soil pitch.
