Meet Imran Muhammad - The look alike of Shoaib Akhtar

Former Pakistan fast bowler, Shoaib Akhtar, is the fastest bowler the world has ever seen in the history of international cricket. He used to bowl incredibly fast with his long run up and terrify the batters with his toe crushing yorkers and deadly bouncers.

His raw pace had the ability to castle and dismantle the best of batters in his generation. Akhtar played 46 Test matches, 163 ODIs and 15 T20Is and picked 178, 247 and 19 wickets respectively.

Recently, a video of Akhtar’s look alike, Imran Muhammad, has gone viral on social media and fans have compared him to the Rawalpindi Express.

The video dates back from the Oman D10 League match between IAS Invincibles and Yallah Shabab Giants. Fans can see that there is a striking resemblance between the two bowlers.

Here’s a look at the video:

Imran departed for his village in the Dera Ismail Khan district of Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province at the age of 18. Now 30, he earns his living by repairing CCTV cameras in Muscat and also participates in franchise league cricket in Oman.

Shoaib Akhtar currently plies his trade as a cricket analyst

Akhtar on the other hand, is currently an analyst and has his own Youtube channel, where he gives views about what’s happening in the cricket world. He has also served as commentator. Akhtar, recently, talked about his retirement and why he is not able to wake up early.

He talked about how he used to wake up at 6 am for 25 years to bowl to stalwarts like Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid, which would tire him, throughout, the day.

“One of the main reasons for my retirement was that I am not able to wake up early anymore. I have been waking up at 6 am for the past 25 years. And then to bowl to the likes of Sachin and Dravid, they used to tire me all day. So this was one of the main reasons for my retirement – that I can’t wake up early,” Akhtar recently revealed.
