Team India finally went on to win the ICC T20 World Cup in 2024 under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma, this year. This marked the end of the 13-year drought for the Indian team without an ICC trophy.
They came close to the trophy on multiple occasions but could not go past the finishing line. Captain, Rohit Sharma, was sensational as a leader and led from the front with his selfless batting. Under his captaincy, the team did not lose a single match in the tournament and became the first side to win the T20 World Cup without losing any game.
