Mayank Yadav has been included in a special camp at the NCA ahead of the T20I series vs Bangladesh

The young fast bowler, Mayank Yadav, who emerged as a terrific fast bowler for Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the IPL 2025, has been placed in a special camp at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) ahead of the three match T20I series against Bangladesh. The selectors might include him in the squad for the T20 series.

Yadav was sensational in the limited matches that he played in the IPL 2025. However, he suffered an injury which ruled him out of the rest of the tournament and he could not carry on with his performance.

In his limited matches, he displayed his ability to bowl in excess of 150 KPH with perfect line and length and troubled the best of the international batters.

He might have been included in the white-ball tours of Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka. However, he could not be as he had to sit out with the side strain that he suffered during the IPL 2025 season.

A BCCI source stated that Yadav has been bowling in his full flow since the last month and has not complained of any side strain during his preparations at the NCA. The selectors wants to try him out in the T20I series as they need to rest the regular fast bowlers, keeping in mind their workload and the sheer number of Test matches that India are set to play in the upcoming months.

“Mayank hasn’t complained of any pain over the last month or so. He is bowling full tilt at the NCA. The selectors are interested to see how ready he is for international cricket. With the long Test season ahead, the selectors are keen on trying new faces for the T20Is against Bangladesh,” a BCCI source told the Times of India.
