Team India took giant strides on the fourth day of the second Test match against Bangladesh at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur. Only 35 overs were bowled on the first three days with the second and third day being completely washed out by rain.
On the morning of Day 4, Indian bowlers displayed disciplined bowling and restricted Bangladesh to a score of 233 runs in the first innings. One of the bowlers, who reached a significant milestone, was Ravindra Jadeja, who scalped his 300th Test wicket.
At the end of the Day 4, Jadeja talked about picking up his 300th Test wicket. He said that he is extremely proud to reach the special milestone and he is always excited to wear the Indian jersey.
“It’s special (300 Test wickets). I’ve been playing Test cricket since 10 years and I’ve finally reached this milestone. Feeling proud of myself. Always happy and excited whenever I wear the Indian jersey. Jadeja told host broadcasters.

Jadeja also talked about how everyone used to term him a white-ball specialist but he has gradually improved his game in the red ball cricket over the last few years.
“As a youngster I started in white ball cricket. Everyone used to say I’m a white-ball specialist. Gradually I improved my game and it has paid off in the last few years.” he added.
Furthermore, he spoke about how he tries to understand the situation and take his time when he is batting. Jadeja also wished that India gets Bangladesh all-out quickly on the final day of the game and take the initiate.
“When I go for batting, I always look to give myself some time and understand the situation. I react to the ball and play my shots. We batted very well. Whatever we planned, we batted accordingly. Hopefully we get them out as early as possible“ he concluded.
In the second innings, India batted with an aggressive intent and scored 285 runs in just 34.4 overs before declaring the innings. In their second essay, Bangladesh are 26-2 at the end of Day 4.
