Team India made a match out of the rain-curtailed second Test match against Bangladesh at the green Park Stadium in Kanpur.
With two days being washed out by rain and only 35 overs bowled across three days, a draw was on the cards.
However, with WTC points on the line, India displayed aggressive intent and dismissed the Bangladeshi batters for 233 runs on the morning of Day 4 in the first innings.
India then batted in the T20 mode, hitting the fastest team half-century and century in Test cricket. India scored 285 for 9 before declaring their innings.
Yashasvi Jaiswal played a brilliant knock of 72 runs off 51 deliveries, while KL Rahul amassed 68 runs off 43 deliveries. Virat Kohli, on the other hand, scored 47 runs off 35 deliveries.
The Indian bowlers came up strong yet again when Bangladesh came to bat again and bowled them out for 146.
Jasprit Bumrah, Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin took three wickets each, while Akash Deep picked up one wicket.
Chasing just 95 runs, India reached the target in just 17.2 overs in the fourth innings. Yashasvi Jaiswal came up clutch yet again and scored 51 runs off just 45 deliveries as India inflicted a 2-0 clean sweep against Bangladesh.
Jaiswal was adjudged as the Player of the Match for his brilliant performance with the bat and on the field.
