IND vs BAN: Rohit Sharma talked about the aggressive approach of his batters in Kanpur

The Indian captain talked about the aggressive approach of the batters. He said that the pitch wasn’t helpful for the bowlers and hence his team played extremely well to win the game. Moreover, they were going for their shots in the first innings and in return they were ready to accept the risk of getting bowled out for less than 150 runs.

Pitch didn’t have much for the bowlers. To make a game out of it on that pitch was a superb effort from the bowlers. And then the batters obviously with that mindset to buy into the thought of going and getting runs as quickly as possible. It was a risk we were willing to take because when you’re trying to bat like that, you can be bundled out for a low score. But we were ready for it even if we got bowled out for 100-150. We wanted to give ourselves a chance to be in the game and get a result,” Rohit told host broadcaster.

The Test series is now done and dusted and focus will soon be shifting on T20I series between these two teams. The first game is scheduled to take place on 6th October 2024.m
