Watch: Virat Kohli's confusing reaction when asked "BGT mein aag lagani hain"

The Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 is very close. India will travel to Australia for a five match Test series. The last few Tests series between the two sides have been very intense with India winning the last two Test series on Australian soil. One man who has always been the centre of attraction in Australia is Virat Kohli. Kohli has that competitive edge and fire in him that the Australians carry.

Due to his performance in world cricket, he now gets his fair share of respect on Australian soil. He will again be the point of attraction in the series.

Recently, when he was leaving airport, one guy said to Kohli in Hindi, “BGT mein aag lagani hain Virat Kohli (You’ve to fire in the BGT)”. Kohli replied back and said, “Kisme lagani hain aag? (Where I have to fire?).”

Virat Kohli led India to their first Test series win in Australia

Kohli was just part of one Test match in the last tour of Australia. He left after the humiliating defeat in Adelaide in the first Test due to the birth of his daughter. India came back strongly after the first Test and managed to win the series 2-1 by breaching Australia’s fortress, the Gabba. Kohli will be raring to dominate the Australian bowlers yet again Down Under and win another Test series. He was the first Indian captain who won a Test series Down Under in 2018.

The Border-Gavaskar Series has always been a cricketing spectacle. It has been marked by intense battles between India and Australia. This rivalry is one of the biggest in cricket and is a clash of cricketing cultures. Each match is a sensational contest where skills are tested to the limit. Both teams not just show cricketing prowess but their sheer determination as well. From nail-biting finishes to record-breaking performances, this series has consistently delivered moments that keep fans on the edge of their seats, proving why it’s one of Test cricket’s most anticipated events.
