Ben Stokes responds to Babar Azam, Naseem Shah and Shaheen Shah Afridi's exclusion

England’s regular Test captain, Ben Stokes missed out of the first Test against Pakistan in Multan due to injury.

He was recovering from the injury that he suffered during the Men’s Hundred competition. Ollie Pope led the team in his absence and England defeated Pakistan by an innings and 47 runs.

However, he is set to lead England in the second Test in Multan and it will be a big boost for the English side.

Meanwhile, Pakistan have dropped their star batter, Babar Azam and their star pace duo, Naseem Shah and Shaheen Shah Afridi from the squad in the second and third Test.

Babar has been facing a lot of criticism for his under-par performances. He has not scored a single half-century in 18 innings of Test matches. He has struggled to find the runs even on pitches which had no help for the bowlers.

Stokes was asked about the absence of the trio from the squad to which he responded, “That’s Pakistan cricket’s issue. I’m sorry, nothing to do with me”.

England’s Bazball thrown by Ben Stokes and Brendon McCullum is taking teams by storm

Meanwhile, it is the Bazball, the cricketing phenomenon that’s got everyone talking! It’s like England’s test cricket team decided to throw caution to the wind and embrace cricket’s version of living life on the edge.

You’ve got players swinging for the fences, not because they have to, but because they want to. It’s aggressive, it’s entertaining, and frankly, it’s a bit mad – but in the best way possible.

Bazball isn’t just about playing cricket; it’s about making a statement.

It’s saying, “We’re here to entertain, to win, and to do it with flair.”

Traditionalists might clutch their pearls, but for fans craving something different, it’s a breath of fresh air. Imagine watching a test match where every session feels like a T20 climax. That’s Bazball for you – bold, brash, and brilliantly unpredictable. It might not always work, but when it does, it’s cricket like you’ve never seen it before.
