PAK vs ENG: Pakistan win the second Test match against England
Pakistan made some shocking changes ahead of the second Test, dropping the likes of Babar Azam, Naseem Shah, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Sarfaraz Khan from the squad for the last two Tests.
The match was played on the same wicket that was used in the first Test and hence was sure to aid the spinners. Pakistan fielded a spin dominant attack with Shan Masood winning toss and electing to bat first.
Kamran Ghulam, who came into this Test as Babar’s replacement, scored a century on his debut game in Test cricket. Pakistan scored 366 runs in the first innings and restricted England to 291 runs in the first innings. Sajid Khan and Noman Ali wreaked havoc in this Test match and the plan worked for the team.
Pakistan scored 221 runs in the second innings and bowled out England for just 144 runs in the final innings.
It was a breath of fresh air for the Men In Green, who have suffered so much in the recent times. The series is all square with the final match set to take place in the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
