Former Indian wicketkeeper-batter, Naman Ojha, in an interview with Sportsyaari, picked the difference in the captaincy style between the trio of legendary captains: Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and MS Dhoni.
Ojha called Dhoni as the captain cool as he remained calm under pressure and brought the best out of the players that played under him. He called Virat Kohli as the aggressive captain as he has always been intense while captaining the team. On the other hand, he praised Rohit Sharma’s calmness and his habit of looking at the skills of the players.
“MS Dhoni is a very cool captain and he knows how to make his players perform whereas Virat is very aggressive. Everyone has a different personality. Rohit, again is very calm, and cool and looks at players’ skills like how skillful a player is. Every captain has a different way of building his team.” Namajh Ojha said in the interview.

Dhoni has captained the Indian team to three ICC titles: The ICC T20 World Cup in 2007, the ICC ODI World Cup in 2011 and the ICC Champions Trophy in 2013. Meanwhile, Kohli took over the Indian Test team when they were languishing at the bottom and made them world beaters.
He went on to become the greatest ever Indian Test captain. He built a dominating fast bowling unit who can pick up 20 wickets in any conditions.
Rohit Sharma lead the Indian team to the final of the ODI World Cup in 2023 without losing any game and then made them champions in the 2024 T20 World Cup in West Indies and USA. Currently, India are playing a three match Test series at home against New Zealand under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma.
Team India will hope to qualify for the final of the ICC World Test Championship 2023-25 and win it this time around. Meanwhile, spanning from 2010 to 2015, Naman Ojha has represented India in 2 T20Is, 1 ODI and 1 Test.
