Indian fast bowler Mohammed Shami has been sidelined since suffering an ankle injury during the ODI World Cup final in November 2023. The veteran player has reportedly made a comeback and was seen doing bowling in nets to Indian batters after the first Test against New Zealand in Bangalore.
The experienced fast bowler broke his silence on his injury and exclusion from the squad for Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Australia. He has been working hard to recover from his injury and be eligible to play for the national side.
He expressed his feelings on a post with caption “Putting in my efforts and getting better with my bowling fitness day-by-day. Will continue working hard towards getting ready for the match and to play domestic red ball cricket. Sorry to all cricket fans and BCCI too, but very soon I’m ready to play red ball cricket , love you all ❤️”.

Mohammed Shami is likely to represent Bengal in Ranji Trophy
As per recent reports and data, the Indian fast bowler is ready to return for two Ranji Trophy matches with Bengal against Karnataka at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, starting November 6.
Laxmi Ratan shukla, the coach of Bengal team in Ranji trophy, stated that the experienced fast bowler will positively impact the team and will be included in matches against Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh.
The experienced fast bowler hasn’t played any competitive cricket since the ODI World Cup final last November. Mohammed Shami is just as determined as ever to make a strong return to the Indian team.
