The second day of the IPL 2025 mega auction is currently ongoing and there have been some of the big deals happening already. Hardik Pandya’s brother, Krunal Pandya has been bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore for INR 5.75 crore. RCB had to be engaged in a bidding war with Rajasthan Royals for getting him. Krunal is a left-handed batter and a left-arm orthodox spinner.
He started off his IPL career for the Mumbai Indians in IPL 2016. He was bought by Lucknow Super Giants in the IPL 2022 mega auction for Rs 8.25 crore. Meanwhile, Krunal took to X and wrote “RCCBBBBBB” and tagged the RCB official X handle with a love emoji beside it.

Hardik Pandya has been a constant presence in the Indian Cricket team because he is a fast-bowling all-rounder, which is a rare commodity in Indian cricket. However, Krunal’s career has not taken off in the national team because of the constant presence of Axar Patel and Ravindra Jadeja, who share the same traits and qualities.
He has played five ODIs for India, scored 130 runs and scalped two wickets. On the other hand, he has also featured in 19 T20Is for the national side, scoring 124 runs and picking up 15 wickets. Krunal has played 121 matches in the IPL so far, has scored 1647 runs and also scalped 76 wickets. He has been a valuable all-rounder for the sides that he has been part of.
He is a left-handed batsman with a flair for powerful hitting and a left-arm orthodox bowler with good control. His cricketing acumen allows him to adapt quickly, making crucial contributions in both batting and bowling. Krunal has also served as the captain of the LSG side in some matches and is certainly going to be a valuable addition to RCB.
