Rishabh Pant sends a heartfelt goodbye message to Delhi Capitals and their fans

The IPL 2025 mega auction is already done and Rishabh Pant became the highest-earning player in IPL’s history. He was sold to Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) for Rs 27 crore INR. Delhi Capitals released him ahead of the auction but tried to use the RTM card at Rs 20.75 crore. There was a bidding war between LSG, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and DC, where finally LSG were able to get their hands on the Indian wicketkeeper batter.

After featuring for Delhi Capitals for nine years, Pant has had fond memories with the franchise and their fans. He thanked them on his social media handles for the amazing journey he has had with the franchise and the thrills he enjoyed on and off the field. Pant stated that he has grown as a player and a person right from the time he arrived to the scene as a teenager playing for DC.

Pant also thanked the fans for supporting him and accepting him throughout his journey. The fans supported him when he was out of cricket after suffering a near fatal car crash and hence he did not forget to thank the fans for supporting him in the toughest phase of his life. Pant also added that he will carry the love he received from the DC franchise and look to entertain them more on the field.

Rishabh is expected to lead the LSG side in IPL 2025 after they released KL Rahul ahead of the mega auction. He has played 110 innings in the IPL, has scored 3284 runs at an average of 35.31 with a strike-rate of 148.93. Pant has 18 half-centuries and one century in the IPL. The franchise owners will want him to lead the team to their first IPL title in 2025
