The IPL mega-auction 2025 is over, and several players have found a new home for the IPL 2025 season. Like many teams, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have once again been one of the most engaging teams in the mega-auction.
CSK not only included some crucial youngsters in Rachin Ravindra, Vansh Bedi, Anshul Kamboj, Noor Ahmed, Khaleel Ahmed, and Sam Curran but also, in their usual fashion, bought in some old heads like Rahul Tripathi and Vijay Shankar.
In the recently ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, the domestic T20 tournament for India, Vijay Shankar, the dynamic Tamil Nadu opener, smashed Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya for three sixes in a single over in the match against Baroda.
Though Pandya later retaliated with great signs of a comeback, smashing four-sixes in the over off Gunjanpreet Singh in the Tamil Nadu setup, another new CSK recruit.
Chennai Super Kings gear up for IPL 2025 after a fruitful Mega Auction
The Chennai Super Kings have not made many significant changes to their batting order, including several retained players and others being brought back in the mega-auction. However, they showed immense interest in decking up their bowling deck with several vital inclusions, including a blend of young and experienced players.
Ravi Ashwin and Sam Curran, old CSK graduates, have been brought back into the side, while the likes of Khaleel Ahmed, Anshul Kamboj, and Noor Ahmed will be part of the Men in Yellow for the first time in 2025 at Chepauk.
