During the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy between India and Australia, Indian players Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja have been involved in various media controversies. Former Australian cricketer Simon Katich blames the Indian players for the conflicts, stating the media is doing its job.

The Test series between India and Australia stands level at 1-1, with only two matches remaining, setting the stage for an intense battle as both teams aim to secure the series victory. India claimed victory in the first match, Australia won the second, and the third ended in a draw.

Indian former captain Virat Kohli was spotted involved in a media controversy after the Gabba Test match between India and Australia. Upon arriving in Melbourne with his family, he was reportedly spotted by media cameras at the airport. He then requested the reporters not to film his family without prior permission.

After this, another Indian cricketer, Ravindra Jadeja, was also accused of being surrounded by a media controversy. In Melbourne, he left Australian journalists frustrated during a press interaction by answering questions exclusively in Hindi. The questions were posed in Hindi by traveling Indian journalists, while Australian reporters were also present. However, he only responded to the Indian journalists in Hindi before leaving. When the Australian journalists raised the issue with the BCCI official present, they were informed that he had to leave for the team bus, which was already running late.

Simon Katich stated, “Obviously, there’s been a few things unfolding in the last week or so, that haven’t gone down well at that camp. It’s probably just the mind games being played, given the enormity of this series. The media are here to promote the game, and I don’t know what the Indians are thinking at the moment. That’s their problem.”

The Australian media has once again been accused of spreading fake news, this time alleging that Indian pacer Akash Deep ignored questions from Australian reporters. It was reported by the Australian media that Akash Deep, who is not fluent in English, was reportedly sent by the Indian team to attend the press conference, allegedly to avoid questions from the Australian media.

An Indian journalist clarified the situation, stating Akash Deep or the India media team never refused to take questions from Australian media just that he isn’t fluent in English. This showcases the cheap tricks and mind games of the Australian media towards the Indian players.

Fellow cricketers Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja have also been accused by the Australian media of being involved in various controversies.
