Indian cricketer Rinku Singh has got engaged to Samajwadi Party MP Priya Saroj, according to reports in News 24. The reports also reveal that both of them are set to get married soon, but there have been no reports of the date of their marriage.
Kolkata Knight Riders have retained Rinku in the IPL 2025 mega auction for INR 13 crore. He has been an integral part of the KKR team and shares a close bond with the owner, Shah Rukh Khan. SRK even said that he would go and dance during Rinku’s wedding.
Priya Saroj is elected as the Samajwadi Party’s Member of Parliament for Machhali Shahar. At just 25 years old, Priya has carved out a remarkable path. Born into the political lineage of Tufani Saroj, a seasoned politician with three terms as an MP and currently serving as an MLA, Priya’s journey into politics was both anticipated and yet uniquely her own.
The 2024 general elections marked a pivotal moment for Priya. She contested her first Lok Sabha seat and emerged victorious, defeating BJP’s BP Saroj by an impressive margin of 35,850 votes.
Rinku Singh has been retained by KKR
Rinku Singh has established himself as a crucial player in the middle order for both KKR and the Indian cricket team. In his short career, he has displayed his ability to stay calm under pressure and finish off matches. He has been a consistent member of the Indian playing XI in T20I’s but has been included in the squad for the upcoming T20I series against England. Singh was also part of the Indian team that won the T20 World Cup in 2024.
Singh scored 168 runs at an average of 18.67 in the 2024 season of the IPL but his team went on to win their third championship. He has played 30 T20Is for India, scoring 507 runs, and 2 ODIs, scoring 55 runs.
