Rishabh Pant, the veteran Indian wicketkeeper-batsman, made a comeback to the longest format of the game from the Bangladesh test series. After not having played a single match for 630 days, he made his appearance in the Duleep Trophy.
Pant performed in a terrific fashion in the last IPL as well as with the Indian team during their T20 World Cup campaign. Pant is now all geared up to feature in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy and reminisce on his stunning memories from his last visit to Australia.
Pant embarked on a truly inspiring comeback after being ruled out of cricket for more than a year due to the horrific car accident he suffered back in December 2022. Pant underwent several surgeries and yet finally came back as a veteran player for the Men in Blue.
In his recently posted Instagram story, Pant claimed, “The Strongest Humans are not those who never fall, but those who rise again and again even when the odds are stacked against them.”
This post has been interpreted by many as a strong comeback note while also indicating that Pant has been released by the Delhi Capitals, just before Pant entered his prime.
Suresh Raina predicted Rishabh Pant to earn a bid of INR 25 Crores
With the mega-auction nearing, every possible cricket analyst is giving their opinion on one of the decisions made by the IPL franchises and also predicting the possibilities of the mega-auction.
With Rishabh Pant being one of the biggest marquee players, there has been huge speculation over his bid in the IPL. Former IPL veteran and Indian cricketer Suresh Raina, during a recent discussion, claimed that Pant should easily be claiming an amount exceeding INR 25 crore.
Speaking of the same, Raina remarked that the decision to leave out Pant during the best approachable phase in his career, when he is evolving to be an advanced sportsman, seems one of the most hasty decisions made by the Delhi Capitals.
