MS Dhoni and Rohit Sharma are two of the most popular and legendary cricketers of world cricket and Indian cricket. Recently, famous Bollywood actor and director, Ajay Devgn, in a podcast with Ranveer Allahbadia called Dhoni and Sharma as his two favourite cricketers.
Dhoni has been the only captain in international cricket to win all three ICC Trophies: The ICC T20 World Cup in 2007, the ICC ODI World Cup in 2011 and the ICC Champions Trophy in 2013. He has also carried India to number one in Test rankings and has lead Chennai Super Kings to five IPL titles.

Dhoni has also been one of the greatest finishers the game has ever seen. His ability to remain calm and composed under pressure has been one of the highlight attributes of his cricket career. Dhoni ahs played 144 innings in 90 Test matches, scored 4876 runs at an average of 38.09 with six hundred and 33 half-centuries.
He has played 297 innings in 350 ODIs, scored 10773 runs at an average of 50.57 with a strike-rate of 87.56. Dhoni has 10 centuries and 73 half-centuries in this format. He has laos played 85 innings in 95 T20Is for India, scored 1617 runs at an average of 37.60 with a strike-rate of 126.13. He has two half-centuries under his belt in this format. MS Dhoni has already announced his retirement from international cricket in 2020 but has been retained by CSK for IPL 2025.
On the other hand, Sharma led India to the T20 World Cup Trophy in 2024 and has led Mumbai Indians to record five IPL titles. He is one of the greatest white-ball openers the game has ever seen and is the only batter to score three double hundred in ODI cricket. He also holds the record of the highest individual score in ODI cricket by scoring 264 against Sri Lanka.
He has played 111 innings in 64 Test matches so far and has scored 4270 runs at an average of 42.27 with 12 centuries and 18 half-centuries. Rohit has played 257 innings in 265 ODIs so far and has scored 10866 runs at an average of 49.16 with a strike-rate of 92.43. He has 31 centuries and 57 half-centuries in this format. The Indian opener has also played 151 innings in 159 T20Is for India and has scored 4231 runs at an average of 32.05 with a strike-rate of 140.89. He has five centuries and 32 half-centuries in this format. Sharma has already announced his retirement from T20I cricket.
