“Ajaz Patel jaise spinner har local club mein mil jayenge”- Mohammad Kaif humiliates New Zealand star

Former India cricketer, Mohammad Kaif, ridiculed the New Zealand star spinner Ajaz Patel, as an ordinary local club spinner. He humiliated the player by declining to consider New Zealand’s Ajaz Patel a quality bowler, even though the spinner has been making strides against the India.

Ajaz Patel, dominated the Indian soil by claiming 15 wickets in three Test matches and leading New Zealand to a remarkable 3-0 series sweep against the Indian cricket team. His mastery of spin was evident, particularly at Wankhede Stadium, where he secured an impressive 11-wicket haul, highlighting India’s struggles against high-caliber spin bowling in the third and final Test.

The likes of Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, and Sarfaraz Khan are considered good players of spin, but seemed to struggle against the Kiwi bowling attack. The home team was defeated in all three matches on spin-friendly pitches by the visiting side.

Mohammad Kaif slammed the batting order’s poor performance by calling Ajaz Patel as ‘nothing special’.

He stated, “I am not lying about Glenn Phillips and Ajaz Patel. I go to practice every day at an RPA academy in Delhi. You will find players like Ajaz Patel there every day. I am telling you the truth. If you see his pitch match, he is throwing two shots, two full tosses, two lengths, and we are out there.”

“Glenn Phillips is a part-timer, and he doesn’t know how to bowl good deliveries. He has never bowled so much in his life. He is throwing full tosses, full tosses. The keeper has left the ball. We lost to part-timers and not to quality spinners. Let people say that Ajaz Patel has taken 22 wickets at the Wankhede Stadium.” Kaif added.
