Jasprit Bumrah’s fitness was a point of concern after he suffered a back strain in the Sydney Test and was unable to bowl in the second innings. However, he has been included in the squad, and the Chief Selector, Ajit Agarkar, has stated that they will be monitoring the pacer during the England series and he will not play the first two ODI’s. Harshit Rana will feature in place of him for the first two ODI’s. Yashasvi Jaiswal has been picked as the third opener in the squad.

India will start off their campaign in the Champions Trophy with a match against Bangladesh on February 20, followed by a match against Pakistan on 23rd February, and then end the group stage with a match against New Zealand on March 2. India will play three ODI matches on February 6, 9, and 12, respectively, before the tournament starts.
