The details for the eagerly awaited TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 mega auction is announced by the governing body. The list consists of around 574 players, which are to be brought under the hammer in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia from November 24 to November 25.
The 11 IPL franchises will fight for top talent from all around the world in the TATA IPL 2025 player auction. This highly anticipated auction will see intense competition as franchises aim to build balanced teams capable of challenging for the coveted IPL trophy. Expect fierce bidding wars, surprise picks, and key acquisitions that could shape the future of the tournament.
Out of the 574 players up for grabs, 366 are Indian and 208 are from overseas, with 3 players hailing from associate nations. The auction will also feature 318 uncapped Indian players and 12 uncapped overseas players.
The auction will begin at 3:00 PM IST on Sunday, November 24, 2024.
The IPL teams have a combined purse of approximately 644 Crore, which will be used to acquire players for the upcoming season. A total of 204 available slots will be up for grabs, with 70 of those dedicated to overseas players. The competition to fill these slots will be fierce, and franchises will be keen to make wise investments to build a winning team for IPL 2025.
