On September 10, 2024, the X account of IPL franchise, Delhi Capitals, was seemingly hacked as the franchise went on to post some information about cryptocurrency on their account.
The netizens were confused after seeing the post on the ‘X’account and came to the realisation that the account was compromised.
The X users continued to see some weird post the ‘X’ account of Delhi Franchise. There were a series of tweets which were then successively deleted.
Most importantly, DC’s X account was compromised on “National Hacking Day”.
“Yes this is a hacked account! We’ve launched a token called $HACKER on Solana CA: 3oBm3m2NW9auqhYTe2S92U9v6vam4cU9DYk23bwp8Yf4 We will make profits, WE hack accounts on each account the token address will be posted and the token will pump. Search $HACKER to see our strength!” the hacker posing as DC posted.
Delhi Capitals did not qualify for IPL 2024 playoffs
Delhi Capitals have not won a single IPL trophy so far. They had yet another underwhelming season in IPL 2024 as they did not qualify for the playoffs in the season.
Capitals had 7 wins and 7 losses from the 14 games that they played in the group stage. They secured 14 points and finished at the 7th position in the points table.
Their captain, Rishabh Pant, made a comeback in IPL 2024 after missing out on the 2023 season due to the injury that he suffered after a car accident.
Capitals need to do a lot of planning for the upcoming IPL 2024 mega auction. The Head Coach, Ricky Ponting, parted ways with the franchise after the IPL 2024.
They will want to appoint a new man at the helm and also prepare for the auction in order to shortlist the players that they want to target and get in the upcoming auction.
