Former India cricketer Dinesh Karthik talked about a scary incident when he toured South Africa with India A squad. The team was staying in the Sun City hotel when he experienced something awkward and eerie at an unusual time. The wicket-keeper batter said that it was a really scary experience and he could not talk about it a lot.
Karthik was very young when the incident happened and he had not made his international debut for the senior side at that moment. He later went on to make his international debut in Lord’s in 2004.
“When we were staying in Sun City, I felt something awkward and weird moving in the room in the night at a weird time. I don’t know exactly what it was but I can tell you, it was a scary feeling,” Karthik said on Cricbuzz.
Dinesh Karthik has retired from international cricket and also the IPL
Currently, Karthik is working as a commentator in England’s premier competition, The Hundred. Karthik has been involved in commentary with Sky Sports as well. He has won the hearts of the viewers with his insightful and technical commentary skills. He has made the role his own as well.

Meanwhile, Paarl Royals have signed him for the upcoming edition of the SA20. He last featured in the India colours in the T20 World Cup 2024 against Bangladesh in Adelaide. He also featured in the IPL 2024 for Royal Challengers Bangalore and called it quits after the end of the tournament.
Karthik has grown into a fine finisher in T20 cricket in the last few years. Overall, he has had a topsy turvy and inconsistent international career and that’s why has been in an out of the team. Moreover, the presence of MS Dhoni in the Indian team has also hindered his chances. However, DK did prove himself at the back end of his career as a finisher.
