Everything is happening in Adelaide! Mitchell Starc with a three-for changes fortunes for Australia before lunch

After India won the toss at Adelaide and chose to bat first on the seemingly perfect batting track with not much help from bowlers, Starc went against stats and dismissed young Yashasvi Jaiswal on the very first delivery of the match.

Jaiswal, trapped right in front of the wicket, brought Shubman Gill into the pitch. Gill, alongside fellow opener KL Rahul, put on an invaluable 69-run partnership for the second wicket. Cummins and Boland were smashed for runs, and the Aussies looked helpless until Mitchell Starc returned with his second spell.

Starc came to bowl his 6th over of the first innings of the second test when he dismissed KL Rahul for a well-made 37 runs, thus providing the much-needed breakthrough for the Aussies.

Starc returned with his second over of the new spell and bowled a perfect outswinger to dismiss Indian legend Virat Kohli. Coming over the wicket, Starc pitched one outside off, angling away from the batter, as Kohli nicked it off to Steven Smith at second slip.

After Mitchell Starc wreaked havoc at Adelaide with the pink ball, the new inclusion into the side, Scott Boland, who came in as a replacement for Josh Hazelwood, also struck to give Australia their fourth wicket before lunch.

Indian skipper Rohit Sharma, who returns back to the no. 6 position in test cricket, was not expected to be seen in the first session before lunch. However, courtesy of the Aussie pacers, Starc and Boland, India is reduced to 82/4 before lunch.
