After Pakistan’s humiliating defeat, cricket legends of the nation like Javed Miandad and Younis Khan have slammed the players and management.

Cricket Pakistan have faced their most monumental loss in their entire history, and it’s disheartening to see a great side as they collapse so miserably under home conditions. Following a six-wicket loss in the second Test after their first Test’s ten-wicket loss, legends have flared a hurl of deep criticism and concern over the team’s form and success.

“It is hurting that our cricket has come to this stage. Bangladesh deserves credit for their disciplined performance. But the way our batting has collapsed in this series is a bad sign,” the former Pakistan skipper said as per reports.

Pakistan even made several changes to their playing 11 for the second Test, as they dropped the likes of famous pacers, namely Shaheen Shah Afridi and Naseem Shah. The new bowling attack comprising of Khurram Shahzad and Mir Hamza reduced Bangladesh to 26/6 but could not capitalize further as Litton scored a breathtaking ton and Miraz, after a 5-fer, scored a 78 for a remarkable partnership.

Miandad believes that this is because the players have lost self-reliance, as he also blames the board alongside the players due to the internal tiffs within the PCB. Similarly, Inzamam Ul-Haq expressed concerns over Pakistan’s bad performance, with nine straight Test losses.

Pakistan’s record-holding batter, Younis Khan, said batters need to clear their minds of the crisis and also pointed at the mental challenges during such weak phases of the game.

While Ahmed Shahzad expressed his disgust, saying that if this much pace and movement cannot be handled at home, then the future is not very bright. Some also said that not having pacers like Imran Khan, Wasim, Waqar, and Shoaib should be handled with better development spinners.

Pakistan will be next playing against the England team in a home tour from the 7th of October. Pakistan have almost left their chances for the World Test Championship for the final after their significant losses.

Also, Shan Masood has proved to be the most inefficient captain in Pakistan’s history, since he has lost 5 straight home games as a skipper, and even his form as a batter, has been of major concern. Even the fast bowlers, who are probably struggling, are looking to make improvements in the meantime.

However, despite all the problems, Jason Gillespie, the red-ball coach, and even their white-ball coach, Gary Kirsten, have told the PCB not to make haste decisions as such decisions would not favour anyone’s morale.
