Australian speedster, Mitchell Starc is largely known as one of the quickest among pace bowlers of this generation. Starc is known for his sheer pace and bounce which makes him so successful on the tracks of Australia.
However, while the lanky fast bowler steamed in towards India’s young opener Yashasvi Jaiswal he seemed to be unaffected by it and rather played his shots naturally. This was when Jaiswal in turn poked fun at Starc saying, “You’re bowling too slow”.
The visuals from Perth marked Starc bowling a great over to Jaiswal, who later hit him with a cover drive to the boundary and remarked jokingly on the same, to which Starc had a long smile on his face.
However, this seemed strange when Starc in a recent interview claimed to have not heard the young batter saying so. He though praised the extreme composure the batter showed in the second innings of the Perth test.
“I didn’t actually hear him say I bowl too slow. I don’t say too much to people these days. I may have back in the day but now I just sort of get on with it. Played that flick shot and I think I bowled pretty much the same ball and he defended it. I said where is the flick shot and he laughed at me and we just left it at that.” Starc told cricket.com.au
Scott Boland replaces injured Josh Hazelwood for the Pink Ball Test
Australian star fast bowler and the trio member of Australia’s pace network Josh Hazelwood has faced an injury and has been ruled out of competing in the Adelaide Test, this seems to be an eminent blow to the Australian side.
However, Scott Boland, who recently played the Prime Ministers XI game, has been called up by Aussie to replace the lanky pacer. As Boland also has a scintillating record replacing Hazelwood in many prior occasions.
