The ICC has declared a huge rise in the prize pool of the Women’s T20 World Cup in 2024.

The winners of the Women’s T20 World Cup will take home a whopping sum of $2.34 million, which is a huge increase from the amount of $1 million that Aussie women won in 2023, a record increase of 134%.

The runners-up will also see one of the most considerable rises in the amount, as they will receive $1.17 million, while next the semi-finalists will draw an amount of $6,75,000. All of the teams, who might exit from the group stages, will also earn $112,500 each.

This step is of great significance as it will be a major break in lifting the status of the Women’s T20 World Cup as one of the most highly-rated tournaments of the year. Other than the teams who entered the semis, the teams finishing 5th to 8th will receive $270000 each, and the teams ending 9th-10th also have their pockets loaded with $1,35,000 each.
