The Jio Cinema, which is the official broadcasting partner for Bangladesh’s tour of India, has recently released a promo that shows Pakistani fans pinning their hopes on Team India to avenge their red-ball series defeat.
The video shows several actors in the role of Pakistani fans extending their support for the Indian cricketers and the Indian team ahead of the Bangladesh series. This was made on the backdrop of Pakistan’s heavy defeat against Bangladesh just two weeks before the latter started touring India.
This has instilled fury in the heads of the Indian fans as they have unleashed their fury on Jio Cinema and the makers.
X (previously Twitter) has been flooded with reactions from fans; however, it has only been negative feedback from the makers.
“Pathetic ad for a bilateral series. Neither creative nor entertaining. Worst I have seen,” said a fan as he criticized the making of the ad.
“WTH, what is wrong with JIO Cinema?” This comment shows that there has been sheer disgust over the broadcasters at the end of Indian fans.
“Zero creativity, zero humour, just pure cringe all over!! Who even approved this?” said a fan.
Some have also pointed out the deceit from Pakistan, as they supported China in the Asian Champions Trophy of Hockey, as India faced them in the finals. Though India clinched the title with a 1-0 win, this act was disgusting on any professional team’s part as it harmed the spirit of sportsmanship.
India vs. Bangladesh 1st Test: India dominates as underdogs Bangladesh fails to withstand the brute Indian attack
The much anticipated India vs. Bangladesh series began with the first Test at the MA Chidambaram stadium on the 19th of September. This contest seemed eminent from both teams’ points of view, as India is in their quest for their 3rd consecutive WTC final entry, while confident Bangladesh looked to capitalize on their belief from the series win to Bangladesh.
The first innings found Indian batters struggling, as the top order collapsed miserably, and the entire innings found balance under all-rounders Ravindra Jadeja and veteran Ravi Ashiwn, as they put on major runs for the 7th wicket. India ended their innings tally with 376.
In return, Bangladesh were bowled out for a minor 149 runs, as India led by 227 runs when came into bat in the 3rd inning. However, this time around as well, the top-order struggled, until Shubman Gill and Rishabh Pant both scored centuries for the 4th wicket partnership.
India declared their innings at 287/4 and posed a mammoth target of 515 in front of the visitors. With bad lights ruling out further play, Day 3 came to an end, with Bangladesh managing reached 158/4.
Once again, Bumrah gave the early breakthrough, and Ashwin, this time with the ball, picked up 3 wickets in the innings, which also included the likes of veteran legend Mushfiqur Rahim. Skipper Shanto and Shakib are currently out there in the middle.
