The Buchi Babu tournament was highly anticipated this time around, with the participation of players like Suryakumar Yadav, Shreyas Iyer, and Ishan Kishan. Jharkhand skipper Ishan Kishan led from the front against Madhya Pradesh as he smacked two back-to-back sixes to reach his 7th First-Class hundred on Friday.

Kishan ended his innings with 114 runs from 107 balls, but what seemed eminent in his innings was the 10 sixes he hit. Courtesy of that brilliant knock, Jharkhand has managed to score 277/7 with a lead of 51 runs after day two.

Earlier, Madhya Pradesh scored 225 runs in their first innings on the back of Shubham Kushwahโ€™s 84 and a fifty by Arham Aquil.

Ishan Kishan was not considered for the Team India central contract after he missed the Ranji Trophy, earlier this year. However, he is back in the domestic cycle with the Buchi Babu and is likely that he will be a part of the Duleep Trophy as well.
