IPL 2025 Retention: RCB backs Virat Kohli for 21 crore, here’s the complete list

The Indian Premier League is famous for its rich legacy and the strong fan passion for each team. RCB is one of the very few teams, that have a loyal and loving fanbase. The mega auction is reported to be held in Saudi Arabia, during the last week of november.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru has retained Virat Kohli, Rajat Patidar, and Yash Dayal ahead of the 2025 IPL Auction. As per the reports, Virat Kohli would be leading the side once again, after giving up the captaincy, three years ago. The Indian cricketer is as motivated as before, and wants to give back to the franchise by winning a title for them.

Indian legend Virat Kohli, who has been the part of the franchise since 2008, has been retained yet again on the top spot. He has been the face of the team for a long time and has justified his prize money, with the kind of performances he has delivered for the team.

Next in the list is Rajat Patidar, the Indian batter who impressed everyone with his powerful hitting and excellent technique. The batter is part of the franchise for the past 4 years and has become a fan favorite in past seasons.

Third and the last pick for the Challengers is Indian fast bowler Yash Dayal. The fast bowler impressed everyone with his performance last season, which made him an impactful player for the franchise. He was retained over experienced Indian bowler Mohammed Siraj, who was part of the franchise from a long time.

The Bengaluru franchise would get 3 RTM picks in the 2025 IPL Auction, as the rule set by the IPL governing body. A total of 37 crore has been deducted from the purse of 120 crore, which will be used to build a strong team in the auction.

The retentions for RCB are:

1- Virat Kohli- 21 Crore.

2- Rajat Patidar- 11 Crore.

3- Yash Dayal- 5 Crore.
