LSG skipper KL Rahul hints at joining RCB ahead of IPL 2025

In a latest development, a fan footage conversation shows the fan inquiring about the possibility of KL Rahul joining the RCB camp. In response, the IPL veteran expressed optimism, saying, “Let’s hope so.”

Since KL Rahul was seen engaging in an agitated conversation with Lucknow Super Giants owner Sanjeev Goenka after the humiliating 10-wicket loss against Sunrisers Hyderabad, rumours have often circulated that Rahul will head back to his first IPL franchise in RCB ahead of IPL 2025.

Since its arrival in IPL 2022, Lucknow Super Giants has been led by KL Rahul in all three seasons. The team managed to make it to the playoffs in the first two seasons but knocked out in the league stage, last year. It will be interesting to see if KL Rahul continues to lead the franchise for the fourth consecutive season.

KL Rahul was last seen playing in the Duleep Trophy first round with India A. Rahul played as a lone warrior in the fourth inning. He scored a fighting 57-run knock but couldn’t help his team reach the finish line.

KL Rahul had, earlier, played for India as an opener; however, he has now transitioned in the role of a middle-order batter in the side.

KL Rahul started his campaign with RCB in 2013 edition of the Indian Premier League when he made his debut in the IPL. However, he soon moved to the Sunrisers camp, and returned to emerge as a classy T20 batter for RCB in 2016.

KL Rahul then rose to excellence when moved to Punjab Kings in 2018. He was made the skipper and remained with the franchise till 2021. Lucknow Super Giants drafted him for a whopping 17 crores in 2022, thus handing him the role of LSG’s lead batter and skipper. They made it to the playoffs for first two seasons.

However, they finished at the seventh spot last year, their worst performance in three seasons.
