India cricket legend MS Dhoni was seen giving a cameo in a, recently released, sensational South Indian movie, ‘The GOAT’. Fans accepted the cameo with open arms as they turned the theatres into stadiums with their loud cheers and whistling all around.

The movie makers have claimed to have shot 10 different shots across two different stadiums, the Chidambaram and the Wankhede stadiums, and have combined them to provide a scene of mass entertainment to their viewers.

The MS Dhoni scenes come towards the back end of the movie, where the director Venkat Prabhu shoots Dhoni coming down the stairs in his iconic fashion while tightening his gloves. The scene shows the hero, Vijay, riding a bike on the roof of the stadium while Dhoni looks with amazement towards the man with a flying bike.

Though the scene seems hypothetical, the fans have not been reasonable enough to celebrate their two most inspiring men in a single frame. Dhoni’s addition to the script adds an unexpected yet delightful twist to the movie.

Alongside the storyline and the powerful presence of both Vijay and MS Dhoni, the movie has emerged as a successful mass entertainer.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the CSK veteran, has played for the franchise since 2008, the inaugural season. CSK remained suspended for two years in 2016 and 2017. Dhoni featured in the Rising Pune Supergiants team during that period.

Dhoni, who turned 43 this July, was reported to be included by the BCCI among uncapped players since the player retired long back. Dhoni might be seen having a very reduced price if he is retained as an uncapped player.

The BCCI has reintroduced the rule of uncapped player retention after Dhoni said that he would wait and see what the rules are before he draws curtains to his IPL career.

Many of his teammates from the Chennai side, like Simarjeet Singh and many more, have pointed at his sublime form last season and backed him to play in the IPL 2025 as well.
