Suresh Raina names India’s X factor for Border-Gavaskar Trophy

Former Indian all rounder, Suresh Raina picks Indian wicketkeeper Dhruv Jurel as the next big thing in Indian cricket. He thinks Jurel will be India’s X factor in the upcoming test series between India and Australia. The former cricketer appreciates the young lad for his strong character and fighting spirit.

The Border-Gavaskar Trophy is set to begin from November 22, the first test being played in Perth. It is the last test series in the WTC cycle to consist 5 test matches. The build up of the series has been wonderful with various legends from both the countries criticizing and mocking each other. Legends like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Nathan Lyon, Steve Smith, and Ravichandran Ashwin could compete for the last time in this iconic series.

Retired Indian cricketer Suresh Raina, who has been a part of this series multiple times and has helped India to clinch many victories.

In a recent interview, Raina revealed that Dhruv Jurel can be the x-factor India could be looking to include in the first test, if Rohit Sharma states his unavailability due to personal reasons. He appreciated Jurel for his fighting knock against the Australia A in the second unofficial test match.

Apart from this, Suresh praised Indian coach Gautam Gambhir and Indian vice-captain Jasprit Bumrah. He highlighted Gambhir’s valuable guidance and support, which has been instrumental in shaping the team. Additionally, he acknowledged Bumrah’s leadership qualities and dedication on the field, emphasizing how Bumrah’s efforts as vice-captain have inspired the team and contributed to their strong performances.
