Sarfaraz Khan, the talented young Indian batter, has been scoring heaps of runs in domestic cricket with unreal consistency. He has been one of the most consistent performers in the domestic red ball cricket over the last few years.
However, he finally got his Team India debut against England earlier this year after a hard toil. Sarfaraz came up with half-century but was not able to keep his place in the playing XI.
The batter finally got to play in the first Test of the series against New Zealand in Bengaluru. Coming in to bat at number 4 with Shubman Gill missing out, he scored a duck in the first innings.
However, in the second innings under pressure, he scored 150 runs off 195 balls with 18 boundaries and three sixes. It was his maiden century for India and the man was elated with his celebration.

Khan has faced criticism with his bulky body stature and he has made special plans regarding it. India’s T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav said that the Indian wicketkeeper-batter, Rishabh Pant, has provided Sarfaraz with a chef to take care of his food.
Sarfaraz wants to get to a proper body shape by the time the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 starts in Australia. He is working hard to get into a good body shape.
“Rishabh Pant has provided Sarfaraz Khan with a chef who is taking care of his food. The intent is that by the time he reaches Australia for BGT, his body is in better shape. He is working hard now, he will be fine in the future”, Suryakumar Yadav revealed in an interview with Express Sports.
The youngster will definitely be on the flight to Australia for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. It remains to be seen if he can obviously reduce his weight by that time.
