Bangladesh, a few days ago, announced their 16-member squad officially through their press release, and the team is now on its way to Chennai as the first Test is scheduled for the 19th of September at the MA Chidambaram Stadium.

Skipper Shanto and ace batter Liton Das were seen wearing polo shirts and engaging in a deep conversation at the airport.

BCB in their post, captioned with “Off to India! The Bangladesh team departs for their upcoming test and T20I series.”

The Bangladesh team will be a confident side since their historic away series win against Pakistan, just a month ago. Skipper Shanto also opened up on carrying forward his team’s high spirits and their clinical performance from the Pakistan tour to India.

Bangladesh will be looking forward to better results in the away Test series since their last series was not convincing from the team’s perspective. They will also look to improve their results against India, and the Chepauk tracks may come in handy for the Bangladesh team, who are loaded with quality spinners.

The Indian team has hinted that star batter Shubman Gill might be dropped from the Indian side for the Bangladesh series. This move to rest the batter has been made since he is to be relieved of his workload before the hectic schedule against New Zealand and the immediate series in Australia.

Also, the likes of Rishabh Pant, who made his return to red-ball cricket, might be rested from India’s T20 side and also might be replaced by in-form cricketer Ishan Kishan. The latter seems to be in stunning form following his Duleep Trophy return.

Also, ace Indian pacers Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammad Siraj might also be rested as several new pacers, with the likes of Harshit Rana and Khaleel Ahmed, as well as Tushar Deshpande, might be called in to replace them.

India’s probable T20I squad for the Bangladesh T20I series: Suryakumar Yadav [c], Ruturaj Gaikwad, Ishan Kishan, Riyan Parag, Shivam Dube, Rinku Singh, Abhishek Sharma, Hardik Pandya, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Axar Patel, Ravi Bishnoi, Tushar Deshpande, Harshit Rana, Avesh Khan, Arshdeep Singh, and Khaleel Ahmed.
