Jasprit Bumrah gives a brilliant answer on being asked who is the toughest batter that he has bowled to

Jasprit Bumrah is arguably the best bowler in the world, currently. Recently in a college event, he was asked on who is the toughest batter that he has bowled to. He stated that he does not want to take anyone’s name as he has a mindset that he does not want to give anyone the edge against him.

He feels that if he bowls at his best then there is no batter in the world who could face him.

“Look I want to give a good answer, but the real factor is that I don’t want anyone to take over me in my head. I respect everyone but, in my head, I tell myself that if I do my job well, there’s nobody in the world who can stop me,” Bumrah said in an event.

He added that he focuses on himself rather than focusing on the batter. He loves to control his skills and how he bowls. Jasprit Bumrah feels that everything else will fall in place.

“So I look at myself rather than the opponent I think that I have control over everything and if I give myself the best opportunity, everything else will take care of itself rather than giving the power to the batsman that he’ll get better of me or he’s better than me,” he added.

Bumrah was at his sensational best during the T20 World Cup and played an integral part in India winning the championship event. He was the Man of the Tournament and scalped 15 wickets in the 29.4 overs that he bowled. Batters could hit just 12 boundaries against him and out of them, only two were sixes.

Currently, BCCI are focusing on managing the workload of the star bowler, given the hectic schedule that India has. He was rested after the T20 World Cup on the tour of Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka. Bumrah is also set to be rested in the upcoming series against Bangladesh, starting from September 19. India need him fit and firing in the five-match Test series in Australia at the end of this year.
