Twitter reacts as Pakistan Cricket Team slips to the last of the WTC points table

Pakistan Cricket is at its absolute lowest at this point of time. Every day and every match, they are reaching new lows of embarrassment. They have suffered a humiliating defeat against England in the first Test match in Multan. On an absolute belter and road wicket in Multan, Pakistan scored 556 runs in the first innings batting first. Abdullah Shfique scored a century, Salman Ali Agha scored a century and captain, Shan Masood smashed 151 runs.

However, England followed it up with 823 runs in their first innings before declaring. Joe Root scored 262 runs, Harry Brook scored 317 runs.

Pakistan bowlers had to toil hard on a pitch that had absolutely nothing for the bowlers. However, when it seemed that the match was heading for a draw, Pakistan managed to reach a new low.

They got all out for just 220 runs on the fifth day with England managing to win the Test by an innings and 47 runs. Pakistan have now slipped to the last position in the WTC 2023-25 points table.

Pakistan Captain, Shan Masood talked about the loss at the end of the match.

He said: “We’ve spoken about the third innings or fourth innings, but at the end of the day it’s a team game. Everything has its advantages and repercussions as a team. When you put up 550 on the board, it’s important to back it up with 10 wickets. That’s something we didn’t do. If we take those 10 wickets and keep England around our score, maybe a bit more, then these 220 runs on the fifth day become challenging. So that’s the key to work it out as a team – how can the batting and bowling in the first innings contribute to the team and hopefully set the match up. That’s something we’re struggling with.”

Meanwhile, the fans are trolling Pakistan left, right and centre on the internet. Here’s a look at some of the reactions:
