Twitter reacts as Prabath Jayasuriya picks up a 6-wicket haul against New Zealand at Galle

Sri Lankan spinner, Prabath Jayasuriya, bowled a sensational spell in the second Test match between Sri Lanka and New Zealand at Galle. He scalped a six-wicket haul as his spell helped his side dismiss the Black Caps for just 88 runs.

Devon Conway, Kane Williamson Daryl Mitchell Tom Blundell, Glenn Phillips and New Zealand captain Tim Southee, were the victims of the Sri Lankan spinner. Sri Lanka have got a lead of 514 runs after they managed to bundle New Zealand out for just 88 runs. Sri Lankan captain, Dhananjaya de Silva, hence, decided to enforce the follow on.

Earlier, Sri Lanka scored 602 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in their first innings before declaring their innings. Dinesh Chandimal set to the tone with a 116-run knock, while Kamindu Mendis continue his rollicking form with another masterclass hundred.

Sri Lanka’s decision to move Kusal Mendis to number seven has also worked wonders. He played a sensational knock of 106 runs off 149 balls. After the follow on, New Zealand have scored 199 runs for the loss of 5 wickets at the end of Day 3.

Sri Lanka are completely dominating this game and are in the driver’s seat. Devon Conway scored 61 runs in the second innings, while Kane Williamson chipped in with a handy knock of 46 runs. Tom Blundell is batting on 47 runs, while Glenn Phillips is unbeaten on 32 runs.
