"Doesn't happen even in video games", Twitter reacts as Western Australia lose eight wickets for just one run

One of the rare incident has happened in cricket history today as Western Australia lost their last eight wickets for just one run against Tasmania in Australia’s domestic 50-over competition. It was a collapse for the history books which was not seen ever before in the competition.

Western Australia managed to score 52 runs for the loss of two wickets. However, this was the moment when they had no idea of what’s coming for them. The team then lost the last eight wickets in cluster and for just one run on a Perth wicket which is known for it’s pace and bounce.

What was interesting is that the one run that was added after 52 came from a wide and the rest of the batters were just dismissed for ducks. Pacer, Beau Webster for Tasmania scalped six wickets by giving away just 17 runs. On the other hand, Billy Stanlake picked up three wickets by giving away just 12 runs. It was a more historical collapse given that all the 11 players in Western Australia’s team were Australia internationals.

The social media is filled with hilarious reactions after the historical collapse that took place in Perth.
