Twitter trolls Pakistan after a Test series whitewash against Bangladesh at home

Pakistan exhibited a disappointing performance in the Test series against Bangladesh on Tuesday. After losing by 10 wickets in the first Test at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, Pakistan lost by 6 wickets in the second Test match at the same venue even with the first day being washed out by rain.

Bangladesh won the toss and elected to bowl first in the second Test. Pakistan scored 274 runs in the first innings. Saim Ayub (58) and Shan Masood (57) provided a pretty good start. Babar Azam (31), once again, got a start but failed to capitalize. Later, Agha Salman’s 54-run knock helped the team reach a respectable score.

Fast bowler, Taskin Ahmed took 3 wickets for Bangladesh on his return. Mehidy Hasan Miraz starred with the ball as he returned with 5 wickets. In reply, Bangladesh scored 262 runs in their first innings. They had made a miserable start, losing six wickets for just 26 runs. However, Litton Das and Mehidy Hasan Miraz brought the team back with sensational knocks of 138 and 78 runs, respectively.

Khurram Shahzad was the standout performer, picking up a 6-wicket haul. Pakistan responded with 172 runs in their second innings. Mohammad Rizwan top-scored with 43, while Agha Salman scored 47 runs.

Hasan Mahmud picked up a 5-wicket haul for Bangladesh in the second innings, while Nahid Rana picked up 4 wickets. Pakistan had set a target of 185 runs for Bangladesh to win the match.

All the batters in the top-order made handy contributions to keep the scoreboard ticking. In the end, Shakib Al Hasan (21) and Mushfiqur Rahim (22) guided the team home with six wickets in hand.
