KKR's Manish Pandey

Manish Pandey’s Hubli Tigers have been nothing short of sensational in the ongoing season of the Maharaja Trophy T20, 2024. They recently wrote their name in the history books as the game against Bengaluru Blasters resulted in three super-overs- first time in the history of the tournament.

Fans, however, haven’t been too pleased with Manish Pandey’s batting. In six matches, he has managed to score 116 runs at an average of 29. In the first super over against Bengaluru, he couldn’t score 2 off the last two balls, which led to him getting trolled right, left and center.

Amidst this, a video has been rounds on social media in which Shahrukh Khan can be seen giving a tight hug to Manish Pandey and walking him to meet Aryan Khan, who also embraces the player after KKR’s IPL triumph in 2024.

You can watch the clip here:

The video goes back to the IPL final of 2024, where Kolkata Knight Riders won after 9 long years. Bollywood’s iconic actor and India’s heartthrob SRK is seen cheering up an emotional Manish Pandey. The KKR owner also takes him to his son, Aryan Khan, who also holds his hand out before embracing him out of joy.

Manish Pandey has not been in the finest of touches for a long time now. The Indian batter was once among IPL’s most costly Indian players, as he was known to be a reliable batting option in the middle phases of the game.

Also, the player has represented India internationally and is regarded as one of the finest fielders on the field.

Manish Pandey, the 34-year-old Indian batter, started his IPL career back in 2008 with the Mumbai Indians. However, he sparked into the limelight after he became the first Indian player in the history of the Indian Premier League to score a century.

He achieved this great feat playing as an opening batsman for the Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2009, the second edition of the IPL. Manish Pandey is one of those players who has played throughout all seasons of the IPL from 2008 to 2024 and has represented around seven different franchises in all these years.

Manish Pandey was the star player, who led Kolkata Knight Riders to an enchanting title win back in 2014. He played a 90+ run knock in the final against Kings XI Punjab that overshadowd Wriddhiman Saha’s stunning hundred. Pandey turned out to be a charm for the Knight Riders, as it was after his return to the franchise in 2024 that they won the title for the third time.
