Babar Azam is one of the best batters in the current Pakistan team. He has been in top form in the ongoing Pakistan’s domestic tournament – Champions ODI Cup. However, he has recently grabbed headlines for trying his hand in bowling in a recent Champions Cup game with his spin bowling abilities.
Fans have not seen him bowl that often in international cricket and thus, that moment grabbed a lot of attention.
Babar has been featuring for his side Stallions in the tournament and he has been among the runs for his team. He had a disastrous Test series against Bangladesh, recently, at home in which Pakistan lost the series 2-0.
However, things have been quite different for the star batter in the Champions Cup. He also scored a century for his team in the last game and proved that he is back in his run scoring form in the domestic tournament. However, in the ongoing match, his side has been in trouble after a 138-run opening partnership between Saim Ayub and Azan Awais.

When things looked tough for the Stallions, the captain Mohammad Haris, called in Babar to try his bowling to have some effect in the game.
The premier batter, who is an off spinner, was told to break the partnership and bring Stallions back into the game. He bowled two overs, did not pick up any wicket and gave away just 9 runs.
Babar Azam’s poor form in international cricket raises concerns
Babar Azam has faced a lot of criticism for not delivering with the bat in international cricket. He has not scored a century since the opening match of the Asia cup 2023 against Nepal. His record and stats have been even poorer in Test cricket.
Babar Azam got out on a duck in his first innings in the Test series against Bangladesh. In his second outing, he made 11 runs off 18 deliveries, including one four. In the second Test, he made 31 off 77 balls and followed it with a 18-ball 11 in the second innings of the Test match.
Pakistan lost both the games and, thereby, suffered a 2-0 series defeat against Bangladesh. Nevertheless, Babar will look to be among the runs and bring back the trust in him in international cricket.
