The recent viral video from the second innings of the Duleep Trophy match saw Rishabh Pant engage in a fun banter with Kuldeep Yadav from Team A.
India A was still in need of 131 runs with only three wickets in hand, as Kuldeep was the last recognized bowler who could come in handy with the bat. Struggling alone, Kuldeep swept India B spinner Sai Kishore for a boundary on the fifth ball of the over.
The final ball was delayed due to one of the most hilarious interactions that occurred on the field, as Rishabh Pant advised his fielders to close in towards the batter, sighting he would take a single off the final ball.
To which Kuldeep replied, “Mai nahi lunga,” which implies ‘I won’t take a single’.
Pant came in to counter that saying, “Kha le maa kasam nahi lega,” which would imply that you swear to your mother that you won’t take the single.
This instilled a stir of laughter among all who heard it, and also the two players ended the banter as Kuldeep giggled at Pant’s comment.
